Ann Taylor Wedding

I came across these dresses from Ann Taylor and I have to say that I'm really loving them for a spring wedding. These dresses are not only perfect for bridesmaid dresses but I also love them for a bridal shower as well.  I love the soft colors and the folds of the fabric. Lovely!  Just had share.

BHLDN

We are still floating around dreaming of BHLDN.

Located at 8 East Walton Street, the new BHLDN store stands to be one of Chicago's finest bridal gems. They opened to the public on Valentines Day!  We can't stop talking about the opening night party. This boutique delivers a unique bridal experience by giving brides the feeling they have been whisked away to an airy parisian boutique. Each room is themed and feels a little magical. Glitter, gold, baubles, flowers and fabrics of all delights are tucked into every corner of this store.  We were enchanted and under it's spell the entire evening.

We sipped on Processco and enjoyed the most delish hors d'oeuvres from Truffleberry Market in Westmont.

The first floor has beautiful dresses in a rainbow of soft colors. The gallery on the second floor has to die for head pieces, shoes, and jewelry. There is room just for ideas, table decor and gifts. Across from that room is the most delicate lingerie and fitting area. The bridal room is exquisite. You can help but want to touch every single dress on the floor. Once you are ready to try on the gowns, you make your way to the most special fitting room.  The bridal fitting rooms can accommodate a good size entourage and have ipod jacks so you can set you own music for the affair.

The bride and bridesmaids dresses are so glamours.  The bridesmaids dresses can easily be worn for more then just weddings. Partnered them with a chic bolero, and the dresses make for stunning evening wear.

It was an incredible night for us. After we had taken it all in, we made our way over to the Martha Stewart Weddings crowd, where we had the pleasure of meeting Darcy Miller, Editorial Director of Martha Stewart Weddings. We can't thank her enough for spending time with us! It was truly a treat to speak with her.

The trip the BHLDN has left us inspired to make beautiful things.

Still getting over the amazing time we had last night at the B H L D N party with Martha Stewart Weddings .  We couldn't sleep all night we were so excited and inspired to make beautiful things. Here's another photo to hold us over until our big post!

BHLDN Update

Update...BHLDN was awesome and Darcy Miller, of Martha Stewart Weddings, was fantastic. (Yes I got to meet her!) I need to get over my emotional high for the evening and will report back tomorrow.  Amanda and I got some great video shots and between the two of us we took over 200 photos. The store was amazing and surpassed my expectations.

BHLDN Chicago Store

It's finally happening.  If you spent anytime on this blog or on our facebook page you will know that we are huge fans of BHLDN and so excited that they are opening their second store in Chicago.  We have been accepted to the grand opening party on February 13th and will share all of the fabulous finds from this sure to be exquisite store.

What else could possibly make the event to die for you ask?! Darcy Miller of course! We almost fell over when we heard the Editorial Director of Martha Stewart Weddings was going to be there.  The authority of all things glamours and beautiful when it comes to weddings will be in attendance.  We will be ready to let it all sink in and report back from the evening.

Today I'm obsessed with the podcast network.  I can't wait to subscribe and get my daily fill of wedding news and you should too. I love that I can get tips when I have time. Plus podcasts are so great because you can be doing something else while your listening.  I am an avid podcast listener to begin with.  I spend much of my day on the computer, often times running several computers at a time. I also spend a lot of time traveling from one appointment to another so this is going to be great having a wedding resource to listen to while I'm on the go! So podcasts fit my life. Blue Monogram Wedding Invitations

We wanted to send a Big Congratulations to Carrie and Kyle who got married last weekend!!.  Creating this design for Carrie was so much fun. We really think it captured the essence of her classic themed wedding. We can't wait to see photo's and I'm sure her venue, The Narnia Estate, was stunning! When we toured the grounds of the The Narnia Estate we were absolutley swooning with visions of a romantic wedding.
